ECOM and Nestlé inaugurate two new schools in Ghana
We recently partnered with Nestlé to inaugurate two new schools in the Adarkwa and Akroma communities in Ghana, as part of the Nestlé Cocoa Plan. The new schools aim to improve access to quality education and create safer, more supportive learning environments for children in cocoa-growing communities.

Each school includes classrooms, toilets, staff common rooms and headmaster’s offices, alongside a mechanised borehole to support access to water. Together, these additions will help support both students and teachers by providing improved spaces for learning, teaching and school management.
Investing in education is a crucial part of supporting long-term community development. Access to safe and well-equipped schools can help encourage attendance, improve learning conditions and contribute to stronger outcomes for children and families in rural areas.

The inauguration marks an important milestone for the Adarkwa and Akroma communities, and reflects the value of collaboration between supply chain partners, local authorities, community leaders, contractors, teachers and other stakeholders.

ECOM extends its sincere thanks to Nestlé and to everyone involved in bringing these meaningful projects to life.
