Supporting coffee farming families in Santander alongside Colcafé and Nutresa
After four years of collaboration, ECOM and its partners have concluded our "Café, Biodiversidad y Desarrollo de Empresas Familiares" programme, an initiative focused on strengthening family coffee businesses through partnership, commitment and a shared long-term vision.

From 2023 to 2026, with the support of Colcafé and Nutresa, the project worked alongside 300 coffee farming families in Santander, Colombia, helping strengthen their family businesses through three key pillars: Planet, People and Prosperity.

The programme brought together achievements, shared learning and the experiences of participating families, highlighting the importance of collaboration, innovation and a deep commitment to both communities and the landscapes they steward.

This video shares some of the key milestones and moments that defined the programme, alongside the experiences and progress of the families involved. One of the key messages shared by participating families was that sustainability is not a cost, but an investment in the future.
