2024 Group Sustainability Report (GSR) and Cocoa Sustainability Report (CSR)
2024 GSR: Building Resilience in a Changing Landscape
We are pleased to share the release of our 2024 Group Sustainability Report, highlighting the progress made across our coffee, cocoa, cotton, and nuts and ingredients supply chains over the past year.
2024 was marked by significant volatility in the soft commodity markets, particularly in coffee and cocoa. These developments reaffirmed the importance of embedding sustainability into the core of our business, enabling us to adapt to shifting dynamics, strengthen our value chains, and continue supporting producers and partners across the globe.
As noted by our group CEO, Alain P. Poncelet: “As we continue to operate in an environment defined by rapid and constant change, we recognise that new and ongoing challenges will persist. At the same time, this environment creates valuable opportunities for our teams to demonstrate the entrepreneurial mindset, pursuit of excellence, and commitment to strong stakeholder relationships that define ECOM.”
The report explores how our teams around the world are continuing to drive meaningful impact, from strengthening climate resilience and farmer livelihoods to scaling digital tools, expanding traceability, and promoting regenerative practices.

2024 CSR: Advancing a Smarter Future for Cocoa
We are also pleased to share our 2024 Cocoa Sustainability Report, which outlines our continued efforts to support a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient cocoa sector.
The past year brought significant challenges to cocoa-producing regions, from market disruptions to climate-related pressures. At ECOM, we view this moment not only as a test of resilience but as a chance to reaffirm our commitment to value-led growth across the supply chain.
Guided by our Smarter Cocoa Charter, we continue to invest in farmer livelihoods, climate-smart agriculture, forest conservation, and strengthened traceability systems, all while promoting fairness and shared value throughout our cocoa operations.
This year’s report also highlights the voices and work of our SMS (Sustainable Management Services) teams in origin, whose local knowledge and day-to-day engagement with producers drive meaningful change on the ground.
