Meet Alice: Cocoa Technical Sales & Application Technologist

Since 2024, Alice van der Lans, ECOM’s Cocoa Technical Sales & Application Technologist in Amsterdam, has supported our cocoa customers as a technical sales point of contact, working closely with R&D teams to answer product-related questions and explore new applications.
“In this role, I support clients by addressing technical questions related to cocoa products. As an application technologist, I also focus on expanding and deepening our internal expertise across the wide range of end products our customers develop– such as bakery, chocolate, dairy, and ice cream– using cocoa mass, butter, and powder. In addition, I help organize customer visits and seminars to inspire innovation and foster long-term partnerships.”
I particularly enjoy working with cocoa and chocolate products. The variety in my role, combined with the company’s dynamic culture, makes each day both engaging and rewarding.”
