EISA National Leaders Meeting: Strengthening Strategy, Integration and Development
EISA Brazil recently hosted its second National Leaders’ Meeting, bringing together more than 60 leaders from across the country. The event convened teams from Cotton and Coffee, including Specialty Coffee operations (Bourbon, Carmo and Capricornio Coffees) and DESCAMEX, creating a valuable space for alignment and exchange.

The meeting focused on strengthening connections across teams, sharing strategic priorities for the year, and building a deeper understanding of the macroeconomic landscape. It also explored emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, while reinforcing the role of leadership in driving people development and effective communication.
The agenda featured lectures from directors Carlos Santana, Marco Antonio and Ricardo Monteiro, as well as Rosana Alcine, Human Resources Manager for Brazil, who highlighted the importance of aligning business priorities with people-focused initiatives.
Special guests included economist Paulo Rabello (former ECOM advisor and president of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development of Brazil), who provided insight into the current macroeconomic environment. Antonio Esteve, current advisor and former president EISA, also shared valuable reflections on Artificial Intelligence and its implications for the future of our work.
A practical leadership exercise formed a key part of the programme. Participants were challenged to build four Ferris wheels over one metre high within a limited timeframe. The activity encouraged collaboration, planning, and decision-making under pressure, while highlighting both existing strengths and opportunities for further development across teams.

Rosana Alcine reflected on the importance of cross-functional collaboration: “The integration between areas has a direct impact on our day-to-day work. More than coffee, cotton, or SSC units, we are one EISA, connected by a shared purpose: to strengthen our teams, remain competitive, and drive continuous improvement.”

Leaders also shared their perspectives on the importance of alignment and people development:
Marco Antonio, Director of Cotton Brazil, emphasised the role of strong foundations:
Ricardo Monteiro, Financial Director Brazil, highlighted the importance of alignment:
Carlos Santana, Director of Coffee Brazil, reflected on the broader impact of the meeting:
Overall, the initiative reinforces Brazil's commitment to leadership development, transparent communication, and the construction of an increasingly collaborative culture that is well-positioned for future challenges.
