Introducing NexCo – Bridging Generations, Shaping the Future of Coffee

We are excited to announce the creation of NexCo, a dynamic new group designed to bridge the gap between the Coffee ExCo and the next generation of leaders. NexCo will serve as a forward-looking think tank, dedicated to envisioning the future of the coffee industry and fostering collaboration across experience and innovation.

Our mission is to create a vibrant space where ideas are born, nurtured, and brought to life, while empowering emerging talent through exposure to real-world challenges and strategic decision-making.

NexCo will actively contribute to the integral development of our colleagues and help shape future leadership across the business.

To achieve this, NexCo will focus on five core objectives:

  1. 1. Idea Generation and Innovation – Cultivating fresh perspectives and bold ideas for the industry's future.
  2. 2. Conduit for Ideas – Acting as a two-way channel between the ExCo and emerging voices to ensure ideas flow freely and constructively.
  3. 3. New Business Opportunities – Identifying and exploring avenues for growth, partnerships, and innovation.
  4. 4. Implementation Support – Helping turn visionary ideas into actionable plans with tangible impact.
  5. 5. Leadership Development – Empowering the next generation with mentorship, experience, and opportunities to lead.

NexCo is more than just a group— it's a movement to co-create what’s next. While the initial members are Lawrence Robinson, Tomas Yepes, Felipe Drumond, Benjamin Rimaud, Frederic Boppe, and Chris Galvez, with Jamie Marler as chairman and Tabea Gallois as deputy, others will be welcome to join in the future as we continue to build an inclusive, collaborative environment. An email group has been created, so please feel free to contact us at nexco-coffee@ecomtrading.com and embrace the change!
