Inclusivity that Moves Brazil
Brazil is a country of many voices, cultures, and stories, and it is from this diversity that our strength emerges. Across our Brazil operations– EISA, Bourbon, Capricornio, Carmo Coffees and DM Descafeinadores– we believe that inclusivity fuels innovation. Every day, we work to build an environment where people can be themselves, contribute their ideas, and develop their full potential.
Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in concrete actions. We invest in the future early on: through our internship and young apprentice programmes, we open doors to new careers, promote practical learning, and encourage the exchange of experiences that support meaningful professional development.

Our teams also reflect the diversity we value. Today, 15% of our colleagues are over 50 years old, bringing experience and perspective to our daily work. We also work alongside eight colleagues who have disabilities, reinforcing our dedication to accessibility, inclusion, and respect for differences.
Women play a vital role in our progress. They represent 29% of our workforce and 22% of our leadership positions. We continue to try to strengthen female representation across all areas by prioritising gender diversity in our recruitment shortlists.
One of our success stories is Leonardo Bispo Santana, Accounting Coordinator. Leonardo began his journey with us 26 years ago as a young apprentice through CAMPS (Center for Professional and Social Mobilization and Learning), a nonprofit organisation that supports young people in vulnerable situations through training, personal development, and opportunities for social inclusion. Today, he plays a key role in our Shared Services Center, supporting both the coffee and cotton units. Stories like Leonardo’s reflect our commitment to people’s development and fill us with pride.
More than numbers, these are real journeys that inspire us and motivate us to keep evolving.
At ECOM in Brazil, we believe that inclusivity is not just an indicator; it is a fundamental pillar of sustainable and human growth. We remain committed to this global agenda of inclusivity and shared purpose, focused on valuing people, expanding opportunities, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
